Assetricity, LLC (hereafter “Assetricity”) is a boutique consulting firm, headquartered in the United States, dedicated to improving enterprise business efficiency through industrial digital business transformation. We are committed to respecting your right to privacy and we take your privacy seriously, so the following discloses and describes our information gathering and dissemination practices.

This policy covers the Assetricity website and other services accessible under the assetricity.com domain, such as demonstration software, except where variations to this policy apply to services provided under negotiated contracts.

Your Internet Protocol (IP) Address

When a visitor requests a page from any site managed by Assetriciy, our servers automatically recognize that visitor’s domain name and IP address. We use this information to examine our traffic in aggregate, and to investigate misuse of the site, its users, or to cooperate with law enforcement. This information is also known to our hosting provider(s) who may use the information to prevent or investigate misuse, or to cooperate with law enforcement.

Contact Form

When visitors complete and submit the Website’s Contact Form, we collect the data shown in the contact form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

On submission of the form, we collect hardware and software information to be processed by Google servers which is used determine the likelihood that an interaction is due to a bot or a real-person. The Google reCAPTCHA services are used to perform this function, which are goverened by the Google privacy policy and terms of use. Pages protected by reCAPTCHA include a pop-out (reCAPTCHA logo in example popout) at the bottom right of the window with links to the Google privacy policy and terms of use.

The information collected by the form will be sent via email to a mail box monitored by Assetricity. This information will be used by us solely for the purposes of responding to your enquiry or request. Additionally, a copy of the form content will be sent via email to the email address entered into the form. Emails may be processed by any number of servers outside our control to relay the email, perform spam filtering, or other related tasks.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles and pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Who we share your data with (disclosure)

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Third parties include, but are not limited to: our hosting and email provider (Bluehost), Google (reCAPTCHA services), Amazon Web Services (demonstration and other software). Your personal information, such as IP Address and submitted content, may be accessible to third parties when you make use of the Assetricity Website or related properties.

Assetricity will disclose personal information and/or an IP address, when required or permitted by law including to:

  • Protect and defend the rights or property of the Assetricity network of sites and related properties, or visitors to the Assetricity network of sites and related properties,
  • Identify persons who may be violating the law, the Assetricity legal notice and Web site User Agreement, the rights of third parties, or otherwise misusing the Assetricity Network or its related properties,
  • Filling a user’s order or request.

Assetricity uses reasonable precautions to keep the information disclosed to us secure. Assetricity reserves the right to transfer all such information in connection with the sale of all or part of Assetricity’s capital stock or assets. Assetricity uses reasonable commercial efforts to secure its computer and network systems. Assetricity will not be responsible for unauthorized access to its computer and network systems nor for the disclosure or destruction of personal information. When disclosing personal information to third parties, Assetricity shall require the third party to limit its storage, use and disclosure of personal information to the purpose for which the information was disclosed.

How long we retain your data

If you contact us through the Contact form and/or directly by email, the form/email content and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and follow-up communications with you, and to fulfil any administrative, legal, or security obligations.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we correct or erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

We reserve the right to refuse requests where there is a legal basis to do so. If you would like to lodge a complaint about about such a refusal, please do so via the contact form outlining the nature of the complaint, the expected outcome of the complaint, and how we can contact you to follow up on the complaint (if you have a preferred mechanism). Where we send your data

Visitor comments and enquiries through the Contact Form may be checked through an automated spam detection service. See the Contact Form section above for details. Email notifications and form submissions are sent through third party email providers and may be processed by additional third parties to relay the emails, perform spam filtering, or other related tasks.

The information collected through this web site, and any follow-up email communicatoins, resides at a location defined by our hosting provider(s), chiefly the United States. Some Assetricity services, such as Software-as-as-Service offerings, may be configurable such that information is stored in specific regions or countries, which will be determined on a case-by-case basis. However, if such services are used to exchange personal information outside the region in which the services are hosted, the information exchange will not covered by this privacy policy. Instead it will be the responsibility of the user of the services.

For example, if the demonstration software is used to exchange information, it is the user’s responsibility to ensure that the information sent does not violate any privacy policy or legal requirements to which they must adhere.

Other Information

This Website and other Assetricity sites contain many links ot third-party websites. Assetricity is not responsible for the privacy practices nor the content of such third-party sites or advertisers. Assetricity does not share any of the individual personal information you provide to Assetricity with the third-parties to which Assetricity links, except where stated elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. Assetricity may share general, aggegrate data with such third-parties (such as how mnay people use our site). Please check with those other sites to determine their privacy policy.

Please keep in mind that whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information online – for example through e-mail, post comments, discussion forums, or elsewhere – that information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information online that is accessible to the public you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
